House Job 2024

HOUSE JOB NOTIFICATION

  • Applications from the fresh graduates of HBS Medical & Dental College are invited till March 15, 2024.
  • Interested candidates are directed to get the form from the HR department of HBS General Hospital and submit the filled form along with the required documents.
  • The merit list for a house job will be according to the marks obtained in professional examinations.
  • 10 marks will be added for each distinction obtained in the entire course.
  • 10 marks will be added for each university position obtained in the entire course.
  • Once selected, each candidate will be registered with HBS General Hospital under intimation to the PMDC.
  • At the end of each rotation, there will be an internal assessment to determine the competence.
  • All house jobs are residential and full-time. No visitor is allowed during duty hours.
  • The rotation of duties will be according to the schedule laid down by HOD. (According to PMDC rules, at least one in three nights has to be on duty)
  • Punctuality is to be strictly observed. Late/ absent for more than four days each month will be liable to have their jobs terminated.
  • A total of five days’ leave is allowed during a three-month rotation. All Leaves including long leave (illness or maternity) periods have to be adjusted with later duties, failing which no certificate will be issued.
  • Certificate of rotation shall be issued at the completion of the house job separately for 6 months as per rotation done.

As per PMDC Rule, the rotation plan for 1 year House Job shall be as:

For MBBS:

Group A:

  • 4 months rotation in Medicine
  • 2 months rotation in family medicine and medical sub-specialties

Group B:

  • 4 months rotation in General Surgery
  • 2 months rotation in surgical sub-specialties including Anesthesiology

Group C:

  • 4 months rotation in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • 2 months rotation in General Surgery and surgical sub-specialties

Group D:

  • 4 months rotation in Pediatric Medicine
  • 2 months rotation in General Medicine, family medicine and medical sub-specialties

Please note: A candidate has to choose one option from Group A or D and second option from Group B or C.

For BDS:

During 12 Months, House Officers have to rotate in All clinical Departments as follows:

  • 2 Months in the Operative Dentistry department
  • 2 months in the OMFS department
  • 2 Months in Prosthodontics department
  • 2 Months in the Orthodontic Department
  • 2 Months in the Oral Diagnosis and Radiology Department
  • 2 Months in the Periodontology Department
